Decibel has been selected for Bundanon’s prestigious 2026 Artists in Residence program — the largest and longest-running program of its kind in Australia.

Founded from Arthur and Yvonne Boyd’s vision of creating “a place for the community to enjoy the bush and the river, and a forum where those from every facet of the arts and sciences could come together,” Bundanon supports artists, writers, performers and researchers from across disciplines to develop new work within its unique natural and cultural environment on the Shoalhaven River, NSW.

The 2026 program received a record 504 applications from across Australia and 24 countries, with Decibel among the selected artists. The ensemble will use their residency to develop new work that continues their exploration of electroacoustic and graphic notation practice.

Bundanon’s Artists in Residence program offers purpose-built studios and rehearsal spaces for creative development and is structured through partnerships with leading arts organisations, companies and benefactors. The selection process is guided by diverse independent peer assessors, with a focus on accessibility and inclusion across all artforms.

Decibel joins an international cohort of artists and collectives working across visual and performing arts, literature, dance, music, environmental and scientific research.
